Lavender sugar cookies are perfect  for baby or bridal showers, afternoon tea, or as a simple sweet treat to brighten your day!

STEP 1 Grind the lavender buds and  some of the sugar to a fine powder.

STEP 2 Cream the lavender sugar with the remaining sugar and butter.

STEP 3 Add the egg, milk, corn syrup, and vanilla. Mix well to combine.

STEP 4 Stir in the dry ingredients by hand to a soft dough. Wrap and chill for 1 hour.

STEP 5 Roll the dough 1/4-inch thick and cut into shapes. Re-roll scraps and cut.

STEP 6 Freeze the cutouts for 20 minutes  then bake. Cool and serve.
