This whipped cream cheese frosting is a beloved classic for good reason. Use it on cinnamon rolls, carrot cake, and so much more.

STEP 1 Add the butter and cream cheese to a bowl and mix until smooth.

STEP 2 Add the vanilla and salt and scrape down the sides of the bowl. Mix well.

STEP 3 Sift the powdered sugar through  a fine mesh sieve into the bowl.

STEP 4 Mix on low speed to start so the  sugar doesn't fly everywhere.

STEP 6 Scrape down the sides of the bowl then give it one final mix on high speed.
