Lilac sugar adds a soft, gentle floral note to your baking and desserts. Use it anywhere you would use regular sugar.
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup lilac blossoms removed from stem, gently shaken to loosen dirt or insects
Combine sugar and lilac blossoms in a jar. Seal the lid and give the jar a shake. Shake once per day for a week or so.
Using a fine mesh strainer, sift the lilac blossoms out of the sugar. Store your sugar in a jar and use anywhere you would use regular sugar.
