Sugar cookies with sprinkles
are a such joyful treat! They're soft and chewy, and just bursting with sweetness and rainbow colors.
Cream the butter and sugar then add the egg and almond extract. Mix well.
Add the dry ingredients and stir by hand until halfway mixed.
Add the sprinkles to the bowl.
Continue to stir and fold the dough until the flour is just mixed in.
Use a cookie scoop to scoop all of the cookie dough.
Dip the dough scoops in sprinkles or leave plain. Bake 12 to 14 minutes.
